Workshop

Blind to Hypocrisy

Workshop # 17

Truth in the eyes
Of the Law
Could never be blotted
Out forever
Though hidden
For years at end
Covered up
By false interpretations

Black coated Bats
Lured on
By glittering wealth
Turn the balance
In favor of accused
But Truth
Triumphs alone

Evidence hidden
Comes forefront
A convincing proof
Pops up
Reopens a closed case

The Prosecution starts anew
To tilt the balance
Of Justice
Toppling a giant
Off his throne
Exposed by the Lady
Blind- folded
To reveal the Truth
Of Justice for all

Hitherto twisted
At times
By the Power Wealthy
Justice fail
When corruption
Creeps in
Making haywire
For the Lady
With the scale.
