A Headless Existence
by Meenakshi Madhur Bookmark and Share

I often wish
for a headless existence.
An existence without
a head -
a head that
houses the mind -
the mind that
constantly
rationalizes
analyzes
each and every
action of mine
extinguishing
the fiery passion
of my being,
pulling the reins
of the unbridled
horses of my
mad desires
and stopping
them right on
their tracks.

With a headless
existence -
I could
burn my being
in the fire of
my own passion.
I could
take a death ride
on the unbridled
horses of
my mad desires.
I could
live to my fullest
each and every breath
until my death.
