Did you know she used to drape a saree over her shirt and trousers and read the news on TV?

Well, I didn't.

Did you know she was a very sportive person and so plunged into depression when she couldn't play any sports because of her illness?

That is when her sister encouraged her to become a TV Presenter.

Also, did you know that she cried a lot after doing the Aaj Rapat Jaayen song with Amitabh Bachchan because she was not comfortable dancing in a saree?

Amitabh Bachchan consoled her a lot to make her feel better.

Intriguing facts like these you'll find in the Video Biography at the end of this playlist I've made on Smita Patil - a very promising actress who died at the young age of 31.

And now let me end this Blog with some Quotes for you:

Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life. - Anon

People who love only once in their lives are....shallow people. What they call their loyalty, and their fidelity, I call either the lethargy of custom or their lack of imagination. - Oscar Wilde

To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket- safe, dark, motionless, airless--it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. - C.S. Lewis

You know that when I hate you, it is because I love you to a point of passion that unhinges my soul. - Julie de Lespinasse

Instead of putting others in their place, put yourself in their place. - Anon

Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should be just friends' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love. - Neil Gaiman

It is with words as with sunbeams - the more they are condensed, the deeper they burn. - Robert Southey

It is twice the pleasure to deceive the deceiver. - Jean De La Fontaine

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. - Martin Luther King Jr.

A flower blossoms where there is love, not where there is apathy. - Aparna Chatterjee
