The most common criticism from the critics of Hinduism are idol worship, caste system and promoting vegetarianism through safeguarding cattle (mainly cow). These critics are Westerners and many educated and forward looking Indians under the influence of the former culture but the most hostile and vehement opposition comes from the clergy and fanatics of the dominant Abrahamic religions who treat idol worship as sin and such worshippers as sinners.
