The Dubious Indian Poverty and Culture
by G Swaminathan Bookmark and Share

The constant refrains we hear in India are ‘India is a poor country’, ‘India is a developing country’ and ‘India is a country which is culturally superior to the western world’!

These refrains are as frequently contradicted as these are uttered unabashedly.

India is a country where saints, yoga masters, religious heads and temples are reveling in lakhs of crores of rupees of gold and currencies!

India is a nation where corruption rules more than the rulers and the monstrous scams and scandals of this nation have obtained dishonor all over the world!

India figures top in the list of multi billionaires who have hoard their black money in Swiss banks!

Indian industrialists Ambani’s multi crore Antillia and Ratan Tata’s new elegant Mumbai mansion have been constructed on the lines of the most modern, extravagant and posh world class luxury and posh residences!

In this culturally superior country alone can boast of doing female foeticide and converting young females into males for a price and dowry is still an unavoidable evil!

Indians are the ones who go abroad and prefer to settle there by hook or by crook leaving their ‘culturally superior’ mother land!

I am sure none in this world possess the ability to double speak like us and practice hypocrisy!
