Excerpts from A Cricketer's Records

I had a peep into Sachin Tendulkar's book that he is planning.

He had jottings in his diary.

It read something like this:

''I will retire''.

''No, won't''

''Only ODIs?''

''Now wait, does that include T-20s? Won't say it right now"

"What about Tests?"

"Will decide soon".

"Keep all options open. ODIs are out. I have done all that I had to do there. Do you think anyone can score more than 49 centuries in ODIs? Not in this century!"

"Now I am reading what Gavaskar has to say, Kapil Dev has to say, Ganguly has to say, Srikanth has to say. . ."

"They are all saying what they do want to say".

"As for me I will not say anything except keep them guessing and score some more centuries in Tests. No more man of the match or man of the series. Won these enough".

"And again for me, T-20s are also open if they need me".

"Mind you I have said only ODIs".

"Excerpts from a Cricketer's Records".
