A Long Distance Affair

All marital relationships have their ups and downs when one or the other partner feels held back, misapprehend. Expanse is not always a reason behind this. The couples that make it, whether they live together or apart, are those that understand that this is a natural part of a long-term commitment called “marriage.” which itself is a intricate bond. But this is indeed true that being apart physically makes a marriage even more challenging.

Many assume that distance takes a toll on such long distance relationships with time. The damage on a long-distance connection are countless several and strong. But then this too is true that “absence makes the heart grow fonder” as a way of reassuring such couples that their love will keep them going over the teething troubles of distance and time. But unless both the companions are committed to do the very hard work of being together isolated, there are chances of such a bond to fall apart.

Being dedicated and loyal to one another is most important. A long distance marriage usually fails if there is a lack of trust between the spouses. I have noticed that having more conservative and spiritual values facilitate in such cases. There are situations when lengthy distance marriages give up as the outcome of distance but one can condense this by constant and good communication. As in our case although we are apart from one another, we make time for one another. We make efforts to keep the lines of communication open on a daily basis. Communication that is constant and consistent acts as the fuel that keeps our relationship alive.

We make use of the latest technologies to compensate for in-person regular contact by working out a communication schedule by talking every day sometimes through Skype Chat or may be through Google Chat. If, for some reason we didn't talk, we would at least send an sms or two so that we both know that no one is overlooking the other and that we're both all right. In such special situations actually we need to communicate even more than among couple who live together every day.
