In the process of maintaining biodiversity, decreasing the carbon emission, greening the businesses’ conduct through clean and green technology are the focusing area for the world economy.  The green business practices ensure the economic growth while reducing the environmental degradation impacts. The businesses should consider the green practices and evaluate their carbon emissions and the social cost involvement. To prevent the global warming effects at harmful levels, governments in consultation with the businesses would have to take steps to increase the awareness level and encourage the green consumption and trade practices among businesses and the consumers as well. The increasing impact of climate change on the human development has become a major issue for all the governments. Governments need to take stricter rules and regulations in this regards. Governments with Civil society organisations can play a pivotal role in awareness generation, information exchange and a responsible business and consumption pattern in the economy. Business, as a responsible corporate citizen will have to take steps in the mitigation of environmental degradation and its ill impact on the society. The concern for environment and society would lead towards a prosperity generation and inclusive economic growth for the society and nation.
