On David's Belisarius

His God died young on this very day,
Leaving me alone with utter contempt,
Solitary times are tempting me to stay;
A split second damned with sheer resent.
Reticent visions of audible shouts
Witness the silhouette of taciturn Death,
If only reverie must need to shroud,
Since all which exists are inadequate threads,
Misplaced emotions of abandoned pathways;
And tainted youth has repented sorrow
For only the darkness unending sways
Beyond; the footlights spotting sorrow,
Where present stands this last shred of kindness,
Thus Belisarius reminds you with blindness.
