Leopard caught in Srinagar
Srinagar, Dec 24 (IANS)
Fear gripped a densely-populated part of Srinagar Saturday after a leopard made a dramatic appearance. It was caged after it was tranquilized.
The wildlife department sent experts to Buchwara locality, wildlife warden Imtiyaz Ahmad told IANS.

'While caging the animal, one of our employees was injured. We have shifted the leopard to the Dachigam National Park. We will later release it in the natural habitat,' he added.

Kashmir has increasingly witnessed man-animal conflict, attributed to the encroachment by man into the natural habitats of wild animals.
