Dark Knights

  Spiritual gurus often teach us
To get rid of all negative emotions
Or darker knights as some of us call it
To list a few - anger, envy and stress
Guilt, fear, frustration and loneliness...

Sometime or other, we all feel anger
Which signals something is wrong
That needs to be corrected fast
If you learn to express it in a manner
Avoiding explosive and destructive ends,
Can achieve incredibly positive results
At your work place or even at home.

Fear is a sort of survival instinct
Envy underlines need to better self
Loneliness tells us need to be connected
Guilt means we were unjust to someone
That is the case with all such emotions
So instead of finding ways to get rid off
Why can't we cultivate negative emotions
To motivate for right response and action?

Story goes about a ferocious king cobra
Under the influence of a holy saint
Relinquished its anger and aggression
Against all human and living creatures
The saint in a few days as a passerby
Finding him chased, beaten and stoned
Sulking with injuries under a bush
Knowing cause of his current miseries,
The saint said - son, I forbade you to bite
But never said you stop hissing too.
