  A Presidential candidate says
the other candidate holds an office of profit
at the time of filing a nomination.
Is there a link in
a Chief Minister's statement?
The drama starts now
when her candidate does not muster enough support
and the ongoing drama quizzes a sceptic.

What about automatic loss of all offices of profit
when a candidate is nominated
for the Presidential post?
A layman quips
what is the difference between
a knife falling on a melon
or a melon falling on a knife?!

A first citizen, by the way,
is at the helm of all Indian institutions
by virtue of his stature in the polity.
Why such a question at all has any cognizance
wonders a layman!
And how does it affect the voting process?

Let better sense prevail
at least in those
who want to be at the helm of affairs
of the country.
