Not that he loves his wife
or is even fond of her,
but when his wife is away,
he is extra cautious
that he does not fall
in any trap.
He develops a lot of rapport
with many people,
men, women alike.
But relationships are never
without interests.
Like it is natural to hold hands,
exchange a kiss with women
or even take off the pallu of the sari
and caress the breasts
when none is around
and emotions overflow the brims,
to be quickly put composure in place.
Ultimately, contempt take over;
and one is too careful
to put on their own personality garb.
So, life is just an aberration,
a mistaken attire,
which is quickly shed.
One really cannot change
one's colours,
however much one tries,
or how emotional one may get.
