Andheri – An Evening of Sense
by Parag Agarwal
Bookmark and Share
  A heady mix of scent
And odor,
And the least compromising
Glare,
Of neon and orange
And noises so strange…
Oh where was I?
Oh where?

Swamped along the
Thronging crowd,
And the search for
Breathing space,
To budge or untangle
And evade from any angle…
What in return, whenever I turn?
Unplanned slaps, right onto my face!!!

Rumblings and mice Announcing their arrival,
With the first signs of
Stubborn starvation,
No victuals in the carriage
And so as much as I can manage…
Oh Lord! Where now, that vada pav seller?

The steamer’s already here,
Rolling in, rolling into Andheri Station…
