You
who rests
in the temple divine

Witnessing

        throbbing heartbeats
        smiling lips
        suggestive winks
        wording speech
        singing songs
        strengthening endeavors
        worshipping work
        trekking destinations
        joyous moments
        forlorn moods
        ... et al

Are
in principle
a part of
my total being

Yet
remaining detached
a tranquil mystic

Leaving my persona
oscillating
in conflicting situations
of earthly chaotic diversity
where it remains coerced
to keep defining
its identity
with no respite
in sight.

TO: Mr. Rajender Krishan
You have very aptly surfaced our indifference to myriad manifestations in human life and yet be trapped by those at times hardly providing us any respite.

Poem Comment Your poem has all the dominance on our mind. It is really a good theme, difficult which you have poetically presented. The urban anguish is so poignantly expressed with the usual poetical zest and profundity of reflection
