Melancholy Moment

  Why do I feel
in my soul
the agony
of the swan?
River of melancholy
currents, takes
possession of my mind.

I can't detach
from their shadows,
nor the echoes
of my past,
why death
snatched them
so young,
wounding so deeply
my heart
as they vanished...

Shouting each name
to the heavens
but no answer,
they are gone
and I am alone.
Swept away
into despair,
submerged in
a sea of doubts.

As I try
to heal my wounds,
as I sing
instead of cry,
as I pick
colorful flowers,
as I walk
without a hand,
as I feel
their presence in me,
through tears,
I try to smile.
