I'll Miss You Too

  The night is quiet
As you breathe
softly on my cheek
Innocence enveloped
in little fingers
Wrapped around mine

Two faces yours n’ mine
Stained with wiped tears..

The ache in my throat
Reflected in your occasional sighs
Wish I could take the pain from you
Your pang as much mine too

Thought of leaving you,
Being away from you
Your smile,
your tantrums..
..You..

I wish I too
Could share the sorrow
Of how it feels to
go away from you
Like you shared
yours with me
Moments ago

But I’ve got to be
the stronger,
The elder,
the wiser,
the mature one..

Babe, please know
I’ll be there for you always
In that special corner of your heart
You’ll feel me in its rhythm
Each time mine skips a beat

Oh lil darling
How do I convince you (n’ me)
Physical distance is measured
in miles
but its our souls
that connect us together

lil sis
I want you to be strong
From this day
As much for myself
As for you
To look inside
yourself
For strength
Comfort
Love..
Me..

One day soon,
I wish you’d grow up
Just enough to understand
the words I write
for you today

And yet, always stay young
To come wrap
those innocent fingers
around mine
from miles apart..

..I'll miss you too..
