It was a night to remember
A memory, that is to linger on
The night was jolly and lively
It was the night
Of great pomp and celebration
The night was young and fresh
It's sweet fragrance filling the air
The night was the night
The perfect night
The night was cold and chilly
The fire flickering reds
Dancing to the tunes of music
Humming its glories
Bathing its warmth to the surroundings
And sharing its joy around
Out of somewhere
You walked by, besides and close
Sharing the happiness of the jubilant fire
With sparking eyes
And face of an innocent child
Face like an Angel
One look at your twinkling eyes
And I could see it all
A glance was all that it took
A glance was everything that it needed
A glance making the legs bends to the knees
A glance that awe you with realization
Bringing big thuds to the heart
Calming the soul within
A glance that eager for another more
Another glances, and you slipped away
Away to the darkness of the night
Life began to be on a standstill
The feeling inside incredible
Excitingly dangerous and scary
Is this what you call
"Love at first sight?"
Ah! I can't be one amongst those
The curiosity inside overwhelming
The glance haunting me for days
Hounding me like the paparazzi
Hijacking my nights
Trespassing my life
As the days goes by
You slowly fade away
With not a clue
Who, what, whose and where you are
You became a shadow
Tucked away in one corner of my gray
Call it pure luck
Give credits to fate
The hands of God
Aha! Our paths meet again
Another look at you
The feelings, being near you
They did the job on the doubts
Realization floods back to me
The tucked away shadow prodded upfront
And it became crystal clear
How much I longed for you
To have you all by myself
Crave to own you
All these, just for that
One single GLANCE!
