As the sun
Comes out from its blissful slumber
I yawn in full stretch
Yielding to languor
To sprawl on the sofa,
When 'Etiquette!'
Stills the air.
I set myself for the day's bustle
The dinner table sets itself
The savage surges
To 'chomp' the food
with the ever deft hand,
When forks & knives
Tune into
A musical of etiquettes.
Out on the streets
In a cloak of formality
Deviating, to a roguish walk,
When peering eyes
Question of a lady's grace.
A speech to
Flow in much candor
And animation,
When 'stiff upper-lip'
Raise brows.
As the day wanes
And the Etiquette
Yet in fame,
I seek
The fortune of an unrestrained tramp.
