The reportage is cramped
Images squeezed
To affected train sections.
Survivors crowd the carnage
Visitors themselves
To the horror and the shock.
Between yesterday and tomorrow
The cracked open problem
The trains hadn't noticed.
Dead and injured
The only reliable evidence
To be gathered.
Mourning is not a statistic
It fills the world
Of a crouching figure.
Questions will be asked
Answers given
None undo what's done.
But revival there will be
This is a lesson
Evil is destined never to learn.
