Women, You are our World

Woman –
Almighty’s amazing creation!
playing several remarkable roles of
mother, sister, daughter, wife,
in the significant stages of her life…

A mother, so loving with a heart of gold -
and God-gifted miracle of motherhood.
She is a giver of life, who blooms
and grooms children in the family garden -
molding responsible citizens,
carving ideal role-models,
shaping country’s future.
Her fragile hand rocks the sandalwood crib
while the other iron-like hand
rules the entire world.
Let's pay tribute to this idol of selfless love!

Darling daughter – a bundle of joy,
unique blend of beauty and brains,
so doting like an obedient doll.
She smiles like a blooming rosebud and
Zephyr spreads a whiff of her sweet fragrance, everywhere!
Her heart is sprinkled with the gold dust of love,
She’s a divine luminosity -
Lighting up our lonely drab lives.
Let us cherish this heavenly treasure!

A sister so sweet –
full of feelings, overflowing fountain of emotions,
weaving silky labyrinth of love.
praying for her beloved brother’s
safety and well being, bestows her sacred blessings
to protect him from bad omens.
Let us adore this graceful deity of self-sacrifice.

A devoted wife -
She has the power to make or break,
but opts to stand meekly behind the laurels
of her successful, egocentric husband.
She’s a soul-mate and a better-half
yet a maid at dawn and mistress at dusk
to satiate hunger of bellies and
quench lust of loins!
Let us reward this Goddess of goodness.

So incomplete, we would be, without them –
and lifeless would have been our lives,
without their daily spice.
Oh women -
Let us embellish your dignified heads
with tiaras of diamonds and rubies, emeralds and pearls, so rare
for, you are our universe and
you are our world,
indeed!
