An Endless Wait

I kept my cell phone always with me
From morning till night,
I saw you in my dream again with glee
Forgetting the petty fight.
I listened to soft music all day long,
I was heart-broken; I wanted to be strong,
I was left all alone in the throng,
I did not know what was wrong.
Twenty four long hours have dwindled
Yet no news came from you,
Another night came, stars twinkled,
I only know what I was going through.
Sorrow was engulfing my soul,
I never felt so lonely in the world,
No one was there to console,
It was an endless wait as you never called.
