Short and Sweet

This, my friend, is the title of this poem,
I chose it after much thought.
But make note of one thing,
It's going to be sweet, but definitely not short!

And I think it is apt,
Coz this is what comes to mind.
When you meet my little sis, Zarine,
Who is.....well.....one of a kind!!

Poems won’t do justice,
Words will fall short.
What do you write about someone like her,
Who is not only sweet, but also hot :)

Anyway, I put pen to paper,
I decided to give it a try.
I had to, I had no choice,
She had threatened to have my 'bheja fry'!!

So here goes.....

Dear sis Zarine,
You asked me to write something for you.
So here it is, as I'd promised,
Hope you like this one too.

From the time you were born,
You created havoc in our lives!
I think I remember dad once saying,
"It would be easier instead to keep four wives!!":)

From Amitabh dance to duckloo walk,
From being 'dada' to eating chalk everyday!!
From ponytails to shaved flicks,
You've come a long way!

Jokes apart, I want you to know,
I may not have said it enough.
I really miss you and me together,
Living far away is tough.

We've had great times together,
Of them all, I have wonderful memories.
If I had a leaf for each one of them,
By now I would've had a thousand trees!!

You're married now, time passes so fast,
Feels like just yesterday we were kids!
Now you have Hashim in your life,
Keep loving him, just as you always did.

Dream your dreams, live life to the fullest,
But remember to give more than you receive.
Spread love and happiness as you go along,
Will make a difference in your life too---I believe.

Along with that, work hard and learn each day,
Reach the heights where you want to be seen.
There you'll find me proudly announcing,
"That's my sister Zarine!"
