The sea
Blissful and blue
Huge and haunting
Terrifying and tumultuous
The waves invite me
Lure me to enter
Their world
They touch my feet
Cajole them and tickle them
The soft sand beneath them melting away
Trying to take me in
But I never surrender
I run back to the sea of life
To fall and rise with the waves of ‘this’ sea
I struggle to paddle along
But never say die
The sea is endless
And so is my determination
And so am ‘I’!
