Defeat

  Not to expect is unexpected
It’s unbelievably so true to look forward to from a loved one
Little small gestures
After all the connect is between two hearts and minds
You crossed the threshold to unshackle my heart
You found me irresistible and held me high on love’s pedestal
As time goes by I am reminded of a line
Those were the days my friend I thought would never end
I thought you were different Sad enough you are not
Like all others selfishness takes center stage
Its hurt is too harsh to wash
The scar is too deep to heal
As one door closes another opens
I have now found new ways to heal my broken heart
It’s refreshing, joyful and heartening
Joy to liberated me
