I get a Scare

Standing alone at sunset
on the shore and watching
a lone sea-gull circling overhead
I get a scare...the high waves
do not raise my spirits
but your absence ebbs my emotions

***
Standing in a glass house
and seeing myriad images,
I feel strange and get a scare
to see many of me...
and not even one of yours!

***
Alone or many of me
I do not wish to see,
instead I shall cherish a small smile,
an innocent one in your dolphin eyes!
