Highways and by-ways offered me always

The peace of mind in my formative years-

But now, they are in memory lanes

With feebleness of voice and cheers!

Through the arduous paths of life,

My ageless mind seems to linger or graze-

And delves into the cacophony or doldrums,

Undefined in any language or phrase!

Such conditions evoke reflective feelings,

And I am not an exception from it for sure-

’Cause of my search for a vehicle of reflection,

Regardless of submerged pains I have to endure!

Holiday season is right around the corner,

And serves as a blatant reminder-

Of emotional rewards and family links

To act or react as a pathfinder!

So, I wish you the best to share and reflect

On the challenges of the past year-

And remember those without a family,

Or people at war with agonized trail of tear!

May the kindness and generosity you feel

In this joyous holiday season-

Be the wiper of tears of less fortunate,

And continue as the candid reason!!
