Anatomy of Heart

People store their dreams in eyes
And pray their wishes be fulfilled.
Eyes glow and blink with perceptions
Of the changing colors and emotions
But the dreams often not come true
May shatter and roll down with tears.

People store their dreams in heart
And pray their wishes be fulfilled.
Vagaries of colors and emotions play
And dreams may still not come true
Yet every heart beat inspires them
To cherish and fulfill their dreams.

Years back I met this man in his youth
Who used to cherish his dreams in eyes
Who used to nurture his wishes in heart
But in an inherent conflict with his brain
He fiddled with his eyes as well as heart
Committed a folly to be ruled by brain.

The episode turned out to be life's bane
And in consequence during his life span
He fossilized and turned into a stone.
If you ever come across such situation
Listen to the heart and not your brain
Narrated so you could avoid such pain.
