A Sleepless Night Again

Knew you won’t call me back,
But I didn’t know that
I’ll have a sleepless night
Again because of it.
Don’t know why my sleep
Is so dependent on your demeanor.

I wish for just one day
Our roles are reversed,
You become me and me you,
You’ll have some idea
Of the pain am going through.
I’ll enjoy the role of being ‘you’.

In the three decades of my life
The last three years have been the best
As well as the toughest for me,
They gave me my happiest moments
Along with my saddest ones too.
Every such moment was a moment with you.

You think it makes me strong
But I think you are wrong.
Coz I become weaker day by day
Without that loving ‘you’.
Sorrow overpowers me
And I miss that caring ‘you’.

Every day I try as hard as I can
To free myself from your memories,
But I end up loving you more...
More than you could ever imagine,
Despite your repeated negligence
I love you more than words can say!

Poem Comment It is race between the heart and the mind... the mind so near yet gives always a slip, and the heart sows seeds of love, but the rain of care is missing evr. I am in a dilemma too...
