God’s Eternity

God, they say, created the universe;
but why? And, to follow, how?
God being defined as Almighty
did not need a demonstration,

nor could any seem possible
since creation was limitation
infinitely removed from God;
unless, that is, it manifested

the fullness of God, as might
the comprehension of God
of God rightly occasion,
whence creation could be.

The ‘why?’ of creation is the
manifestation of God, not
to God, but of God to creatures
who in the relation show forth

the relationship in God
of Father manifested to Son:
and, the ‘how?‘, God in
nothingness the power to act

to manifest in creation
the relation of that vastness
of the Father’s presence to man
as a child comprehending.

But as Father of the Son
to see the Son in man,
the latter failing in perfection
the former proving it.

So the Son takes flesh
is killed on the cross and rises,
and goes back to the Father
but in the form of man

man redeemed
in the Son’s identity
and God’s relationship
unchanged, in God’s eternity.
