You bore the pain
For the ecstasy of holding me in your hands
You named me ‘honey’
But...
You left me even before my sweetness reached you.
My eyes they say resemble yours
But... You moved away from their sight
You prayed for me before you left
Your blessings surround me.
But... Not your breath
But... Something tells me
I will find you there
My mother
Where you wait for me
To sing the unsung lullaby.
