I was born in Calcutta, India. My English father was in India during the war, serving with REME. He met my mother, a Calcutta lady of Goanese origin (from her Portugese name) at a dance. I was in boarding school, mainly at St Joseph's College, North Point, Darjeeling, from the age of 5 till I was 17. I came to England to complete my studies. Early, I experienced a religious crisis, and dedicated my life to research whose flavour can be sampled in my poems. Suffice it to say, my words speak for themselves, and by them alone may I be judged as a poet and writer of substance. |
