PGR Nair is a chemical engineer currently working as Process Superintendent in Saudi Arabian Fertilizer Company (SAFCO, a SABIC affiliate) in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. He holds M.Tech in chemical Engineering from Cochin University, MBA from IGNOU, Delhi and M.A. in English Literature from Mysore University. He was previously employed as Project Manager with FEDO, a detailed engineering & contracting company in the field of fertilizers and petrochemicals in Cochin, Kerala.
Interests: World literature , Kathakali, Classical Music (Carnatic/Hindustani and western), Jazz, World Cinema, Yoga, Quiz, writing, Travel, Nature Watching and Social Service.
Hometown: Cochin , Kerala. Currently he resides in Al-Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
Public speaking is his newfound passion and he holds a DTM (Distinguished Toastmaster) accreditation from Toastmasters International, California. He was the past president of Jubail Toastmasters and the sponsor of Global Toastmasters Club, Periyar Toastmasters Club and Saudi Kayan Toastmasters Club in Jubail. He is also the founder president of Association of Malayalee Professionals in Saudi Arabia (AMPS), the premier Indian Organization in Jubail, and is also one of the founders of 'India Forum'. He received 'Hind Rattan' award from Non Resident Indian's welfare Society, New Delhi for his social contributions in 2004.
His wife Raji Krishnan is a lawyer and a post graduate in English Literature. He is blessed with two children - Avinash Krishnan and Navneeth Krishnan.
