after the switch from journalism to creative writing, 2005 saw the appearance of five of her short stories in an anthology called 'Curtains: Stories by Nine Women', published by Unison Publications, Bangalore that was followed by a generation saga on the post Partition evolution of Sindhi women, titled Beyond Diamond Rings in 2010 and India's first historical novel with two different endings, titled MASTANI in 2012, the culmination of almost 30 years in research and writing! Born a sindhi (Dolly Khemlani), married to a Punjabi, now a retired army officer who is a senior TV man - both of them ended up as journalists, living an 'adventurous' life. |
