Red Frangipani

Previous | Next

Red Frangipani (Botanical name Plumeria Rubra) also known as "Temple Flower" is a deciduous flowering tree, native to central and south America but now widely cultivated, specially in tropical Asia. These flowers are used in Hawaii to make leis. The flowers to bloom  require a minimum of 6-8 hours of direct light per day, ideally full sun.

I shot this photograph during my visit to Hyderabad, India last month.
