Mystique

Though someone is not a part of my life
Yet one occupies centre stage in my life.

Though someone bears no relation with me
Yet one remains ever most endearing to me.

Though someone is thousands of miles apart
Yet one always remains so close to my heart.

Someone is not destined to belong me anyway
Yet I often ponder at one as lost and castaway.

I have no faith in reincarnation or rebirth in life
Yet I aspire to be with one on revival in a life.

If anyone considers it mystique, let me interpret
It's about my best friend and love, first and last.
