He and You

He told me ‘he doesn’t love anybody except himself’

He added that money and career is all he wants,

And that he doesn’t love me, he never did,

I was having dinner then, tears filled my plate.

To distract myself, I logged on to GTalk,

You were online, and I yearned to chat with you,

How love can change a tear drop into a smile,

At once I knew when I got back the ‘friendly you’.

Felt so relaxed after telling you my tragic story.

After so many days we chatted for three long hours.

He made me feel like I am a ‘nobody’ to him,

You made me realize I am a ‘somebody’ to you,

He threw stones at me with his harsh words,

You healed all my wounds with your love and care,

While he told me he can only love himself,

You gave me the position of your role model.

All the pain he gave was taken away by you,

You instantly converted my sorrows into joy.

When I thought death is the only rescue,

You changed my mind to live only for you!

Antonyms were perhaps most early arrivals with the creation of universe. Whether any object, emotion or act you will find an opposite always co-exists, like light and dark, if you experience pain be sure joy will follow and that's how life is.
