Lost Days of Life

Times come when I lose days
and weeks from my life.
If I do not lose them,
I would not be able to live.

I would be insane, or a wreck,
or I would have to say ta-ta
to this sojourn in life.

Must a creative person
come to screeching halts
from time to time,
so as to re-create?

Life is such a merry-go-round,
this moment you are at the top,
next you just hurtle down!
