First Steps

It's all about the way you walked by my side.
It's all about the way the sun shined;
It's all about the happy stream that passes by
The rocks, the pebbles and time.
 
It made the sun rise in its brightest way
It made the rivulet sing;
It made my eyes wet which stole
Colours from the linnet's wing.

It was because you smiled sweet
It was because you caressed;
That was your first innocent step,
It was all I deeply cared.
