So Sweet...

jasmine.jpg

Tired, I slept off early,
could not hear the clatter of the rain
nor could stretch my hands
to hold the droplets

But when I went up
to see the early sun on our terrace
I was touched by the thoughtfulness
of the chameli creeper;
it didn’t offer just the flowers - fragrant and fresh,
but it had cupped its each leaf
to fill rainwater for me to caress!

Comment Thank you, Madhavi. Poems cup the joys of nature or joys get into the cup of our hearts! Both are effectively same.

Comment That will be great, Kulbir ji. That is the way we celebrtae monsoon, monsoon flowers and the greenery. Best regards.

Comment I would make chai from that rainwater and chameli (jasmine) flowers, and savor it under the tree.
