Interesting!

In one of the short stories of Frederick Forsyth, the protagonist met his nemesis when the hired assassin liquidated his adversary along-with alibi too to ensure 'no comebacks', who incidentally was his love interest and the cause of revenge.

Revenge, however sweet, ruins..
