Scenes From a Dream World

As scenes from a dream world
Wash through my mind
Inside a fantasy land
Myself I do find.

A realm of friendly creatures
So joyful and free
Where each and everyone
Offer welcome to me.

There's the laughing March Hare
And the dozy Dormouse;
And even the Mad Hatter
Proffers keys to his house.

A smiling snail staggers in its
Strange race against time;
Clockwork soldiers grin
In uniforms fine.

Rainbow trout leap from ponds
Teeming with life.
Wise owls wait for their mistress;
The Queen of the Night.

And as these scenes from my dream world
Fade for awhile
Reality beckons once more;
With its twisted smile.
