Baga Beach

beach.jpg

Riot of colours across the sky…
splashing water, skidding kids
watchful eyes excited with mirth,
speed boats zoom, parasailing, banana boats,
frolicsome folk  on water front
bounty unlimited, fun on line!

Anjuna, Baga, Calangute, Colva …
different names, spirit stretches along shores
ever basking crowd, forever rolling breakers
peace in the air, infinite pleasure
permeate life, shacks extend wishes
winter on the wane, spring yet to greet!

Cheerful lanes far from fretting homes,
love to live, live to love…
Bubbly spirits unfold treasures
pearls on roll, glow on  faces,
blithe beauties chic with joy,
cheerful groups all agog, setting sun flush with glee!

Comment Do I deserve these words of magnanimity,Prof Asha ji?You are very kind and supportive.Perhaps the sky and sea reflect feelings of those on the shore. Thanks a million for your sharp eye, ma'am.Best regards.

Comment it is good to see nature associated with joy. this morning i taught Arnold's DOVER BEACH WHERE THE SEA GOES ON AND ON , FLINGING THE PEBBLES ON THE SHORE. THE SEA in that poem is a metaphor, not just an image. in your poem the sea is just a background where human beings frolic. your central image is this joy.

Comment "bounty unlimited, fun on line!"- Dear SAI SONY, this sums up your personality bathed in such temperament and attitude. You have not only captured the picturesque beauty and the resort of spiritual tranquility away from the madding crowd but also universalized the omnipresence of the same spirit at all the beaches across this planet and also how they are a lavish bliss. You are great!
