P & L Analysis

I often ask my mind to refrain
From thoughts of loss and gain.
In life, we win some, lose some.
To rave and rant would be dumb,
But never treat loss with disdain…

For better or worse,
A blessing or a curse,
Our each and every action
Is followed by a reaction
That’s smooth or terse.

It is always good to learn
From the experience we earn
In the journey of life,
That is constantly rife
With possibilities of finger burn.

When a walk is enough, don’t run.
To be sometimes serious too is fun.
But nothing is worth its while,
That takes away our smile.
We all have a place under the sun.

Comment Through simple and easy rhymes, you have revealed a practical philosophy that life should be taken lightly.Hedonism and epicureanism preach that pleasure gives the greatest happiness. Much of our troubles will go away, if we are not too obsessive about success and failure. Nice, thought provoking poem.
