I may miserably fail
On every measurable parameter -
To protect innocent life
Upholding civil liberty
Effective implementation of laws
Curtailing corruption and favoritism
Ensuring security of child, woman and elderly
Or integrated development and growth of nation...

But I shall never fail
To derive mileage and publicity
Out of any occasion -
May it be a foundation laying
Inauguration of a scheme or forum
Any social or economic achievement
Or even an unfortunate death
Of an oppressed human soul
If it attracts public attention and outrage!
