Remembering to Forget

Remembering to forget,
Is as hard as it gets,
Some silly old thing,
Your memories bring.

Going to sleep without dreaming of you,
Should be in theory so easy to do,
Why do I then wake with thoughts of you,
Feeling so miserably blue.

A world awaits with a brand new view,
And here I am forgetting to forget you,
I just keep struggling, that's what I'll do,
Till I remember to forget you.
