Theme: God

Objectivity

is bound up here with the concept of God,
mentioning which, it is a curious fact
that God seems never to settle the issue –
how could God?  To appear in evidence
would be to be part of God’s own creation:
Behold, God is there within our perception
in hundreds of religious guises – not
so the reality; pure atheism
is objective, and though it denies, most
evidently, in contrast, defines not
merely the nature of God, but creation.

The religious view of creation shows
the works of God, and proceeds on this basis
to form an idea of God, deems objective
what can never be; for this reason, God
seems various; atheism’s denial
is nearer to the nature of God; for
reality bespeaks itself in things
of existence; only here can theism
be redeemed, existence as manifest
of God’s existence, atheism in
counterpoint, that nothing can be but as
it is
.
