If Only I Knew...

I would have prayed for a little while longer
Stretched my hands in help for a few more needy
Cuddled my kids longer and more warmer
Pressed my parents’ feet more proudly
Held your hand till the grasp slipped away
Kept talking to you, till the words faded away
Loved laughing with you till the jaws dropped down
Continued staring at you till the eyes closed down
If only I were to know that today is my last
Lived lively as long, for all that I missed in the past
With a smile on my face till the very end
And my heart full of your thoughts without any end!
