My Love Story

When young I walked alone In a motley crowd of Bonded souls Even I was Bonded to someone By the invisible power Of a handsome guy There was a difference He had his goals To make money and life But mine was to win his attention I knew I was stupid I knew he did not love me I knew I wouldn’t get what I wanted from him He was straight That was not his fault It was the mistake of God He made me different With passing time, he moved I too moved for someone. Did this last for long? No, again its life was short Now I am old Yet love and lust loom large Before me, now and then Creating pain and pleasure I lived in a dream That can only be a dream I lived a life That can only be a farce I too had love stories All of them were short Because It took me so long To understand that I keep longing for the Impossible
