Zenith and Nadir

Glittering success
Great name and fame
Big achievements
Corporal pleasure
All is a temporal wheel.

The wheel of time
Cyclic rise and fall
Favors us sometimes
With us going upwards,
Other times it turns
Too much unfavorable,
When it brings about
A soundless downfall.

Zenith of everything
Touches its nadir at last.

Death always smiles at us;
We must smile back at him
For how high we rise above
We lie at peace only in his lap!
